Having long hair is a lot like getting a nickname, you have to earn it. Nicknames are sometimes associated with your outer appearance and having long flow makes you stand out since this becomes one of your most identifiable features. Many women with overly long hair sometimes get nicknames such as: Pippi Longstocking, Rapunzel, Hippie, Mermaid, Cat Lady, Avatar braid, Princess Leia, & Pocahontas.
When you become a long haired, your friends might bestow upon you a new moniker. The following are some awesome and not so great nicknames for guys with long hair (in no particular order):
1. Mop Top
Commonly referred to people with a “bowl” style hair cut. A hairstyle made famous by “The Beatles”
A character from the classic 2000 football movie, Remember the Titans
3. Goldie Locks/ Girlie Locks
Just what the name implies… Gold Locks. A good nickname for one with blond hair
Nickname for guys with long blond curly hair. Reminds me of Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup
Thick brown unkept hair – Just like the Star Wars character Chewbacca.
Probably the easiest and most common nickname among long haired’s
Referring to a character from the children’s books and movies. Growing up in the jungle, you’ll likely have wild unkept hair or possible greasy dreadlocks.
Like the stoner esque character from Scooby Doo. Get your scooby snacks here!
A good nickname for something resembling that of a Viking Norse God
In reference to to Che Guevara, a prominent communist figure in the Cuban Revolution. Do people still wear these Che T-Shirts?
You’d have to have some seriously long hair to be called Rapunzel
12. Joe Dirt
If you have a mullet (which sometimes happens when you first start growing out your hair)
Not so much a nickname, as it is an insult
